Hi, I’m Sasha and I’ve been in this blogging business for more than two years now. I’m so glad to finally launch this localised fashion blog I’ve been wanting to start since I came out with my first fashion blog, Tops 2 Bottoms, back in 2005. That blog’s now with b5media.

I had envisioned Tops 2 Bottoms to hold chronicles of our country’s fashion. However, the vision of that blog is different and it caters to definite items of clothing, hence, the blog title. BUT I do feature bits and pieces from time to time.

The idea and dream of Style Manila lived on, though.

Now that you’ve read my musings on how this blog came about, let me intro myself with a quick note on my background.

I’ve been in the Fashion industry since 2000, doing ramp and commercial modeling. I also worked part-time for a small fashion and lifestyle magazine before freelancing as a fashion writer, stylist and make-up artist. I also did Modeling Workshops on the side. And as I’ve just mentioned, I’ve been a fashion blogger since 2005.

I also co-author BBN’s wedding blog, My Filipino Wedding, with Gail. I’ll still be wearing my “fashion blogger” hat since I’ll be blogging about topics that cover style and beauty in that blog. (Together with my usual rants as the perennial bridesmaid!)

Anyway, I simply can’t contain my excitement as I watch Style Manila take her first few steps! I know. I know. I’m gushing like a mum but, what the heck, I’m so thrilled and proud like only a mum would! LOL. (Hold on a sec — setting things straight — I’m not a mum yet, ok?!)

This event deserves a party. Definitely.
