There are things in life that’s difficult to explain. Opportunities come a-knockin’ in times when you least expect it and I’ve observed that that’s how things have been for the past few weeks. “Go with it!” As most of my good friends would tell me and I reckon it is much too fun not to. Of course, having a plan will always ensure a less stressful life but savouring tiny surprises will keep me on my toes and will add the necessary kick to the usual humdrum. Today is a …

I remember it was only a few days before I found out I was attending an event hosted by PETA was I admiring (and slightly cuddling) a cute furry pencil case my friend Sab had recently purchased from Saizen. The moment she showed it to me I wanted to scream “Its so furry, I wanna diiiiiie!”. I just realized that that would probably be the exact same expression PETA could use whenever they spot people wearing animal fur donned in the streets. Thank goodness the pencil case was …
If you ask me to go shop gifts for women, I just might not run out of ideas but if asked to do the same for men then I might find myself in a bind. It has always been a trying task. For some odd reason, I find it hard to come up with interesting gift ideas for guys. This past Christmas have been one of the many Christmases that asked me to take up that challenge so I reckon today might be a good time to share some of …
Moments leading to the birth of an inspiration or, at the very least, at the edges of it, I’m more likely inclined to look at photos to prod it on, sustain it, or force it to materialise. There’s something about this act that makes it easier to find that unspoken understanding of something that you, sometimes, find hard to articulate. One of the many reasons why I fell in love with photography.
So, when this opportunity came, I knew it’s the perfect way for me to share it with you folks …

Scenario: Walking around the mall, you enter a shop and see something you like. While waiting for the clerk to hand you the size you requested, you check if you’ve got enough money to buy it. Check. The clerk arrives and tells you with no sympathy whatsoever: “Sorry, your size is out of stock.” All too familiar? I’ll have to admit that shoe shopping for a US Sized 9 that is me can be frustrating sometimes. Hence the saying, “If it’s available in your size, grab it.”
Which brings …

Black patent 8-hole boots with rainbow stitching, often with rainbow laces if I felt extra playful. This was my first pair of Dr. Martens back in grade school and I wish I cared enough back then to keep them even just for display. Aside from a few shops back then in Alabang and Makati, there weren’t any legitimate stores around Manila that carried the famous brand that has evolved from being known for the original worker boot, to the punked out iconic cherry reds, and now on …
Indelible youth. There’s value to be had in this. Fashion seen through a youthful pair of eyes will bring fresh perspective to it, mirthfully disregarding the structured definition that the exacting public sometimes decree. Who wouldn’t appreciate an unencumbered approach to style? Expressing oneself as actively and resolute as a kid filled with wonder and curiosity, can lead to a more creative flair that’s both fascinating and enigmatic. A young mind that’s eager to challenge limits, explore locales, and walk barefoot just because.
Meet Eena.

It’s almost Christmas! Isn’t it amazing? With all the twinkling lights and festive decors, the atmosphere is slowly shifting into a series of activities that’s both electric and stressful. The latter’s largely due to stuff related to prepping for the coming holiday feasting and, yes, the business of shopping for gifts. Have you finished with all your Christmas shopping?
If, like me, you’ve found yourself stumped with what to buy, writing (in your case, reading) this post helped (will help) give me (you) a few ideas. Courtesy of UNAROSA, the …
Let’s talk about favourite colours today. Mine is a toss between Green and Black. If it was imperative that I get something colourful, I’d most likely choose a thing in Green but I’d generally go for anything Black or something in a very neutral hue (think Grey, Brown, etc). I reckon, when it comes to colour, my preferences lean toward the conservative or, as some would say, boring. What are your favourite colours?
When I was given a chance to shop at DC in Megamall last month, I knew I had …
“Fast track to year 2075 and imagine a world where time and space travel is part of daily human existence. That imagined gleaming future is now distilled in a uniquely designed timepiece. Welder, the only watch brand in the market that projects the future in the present, is in our midst.”
Interesting concept, yes? That’s exactly what got me intrigued when I received the invite in the mail a few weeks ago. It said that I was to go to Salon de Ning in Manila Peninsula Hotel to witness the launch …
